Long Island Teachers Benevolent Fund
As a participating local in NYSUT's Long Island Teachers Benevolent Fund, DPTA members are eligible to apply for the following.
* for son/daughter graduating HS this year (up to $500) - deadline to apply is March 12, 2010
* for members called into military service (up to $600)
* necessary due to death or serious illness in immediate family or sudden personal catastrophe, such as loss of home by fire, etc. not covered by insurance
* payable to the individual who incurs funeral expenses of any member of a participating local who dies while in active service (up to $600)
